In regard to our "Recycle (Blue)" post, Woodie had this to say-
"...The carts allow for more privacy, IE less people commenting on how many liquor, wine and beer bottles are in your bin, which DOES happen, sometimes. :-)"
Actually, this can be an issue.
Back in The Days, The Fuzz used to "Pull Garbage" in little orange carts from behind the houses.
There was one fellow who used to carefully wrap his trash up in paper bags. The Fuzz and his coworkers, in an attempt to maximize the space in their buggies, would sometimes rip open bags like his to better pack the garbage in. This fellow would get pretty upset when all his liqueur bottles were suddenly exposed. Back then this was a dry county!
Of course now days, this isn't much of an issue with all this automated stuff.
When The Fuzz was asked how he got into this line of work, he finally admitted that it wasn't really the money, but the prestige that attracted him.

He he heh. Guess his plan to cover his tracks wasn't fool proof. Doug brings the empties from the studio back to the house so they can go out with our recycling. So, if a bands been locked in the studio for days on end, depending on the band, of course, there can be quite an assortment of bottles and cans in our bin. I once had a coworker who lives in my neighborhood comment on "the number of parties we'd been having." When I asked why he thought we'd been entertaining so much, he mentioned the plethora of empties in our bin! Apparently he'd been assessing our bin every time he drove by! I guess he forgot the old adage: appearances can be deceiving.
