Food Movies

We watched Food, Inc. the other night. It was a bit of a bummer. The Fuzz wasn't really surprised by the meat industry, having seen this stuff before. We have raised goats, geese and chickens ourselves, and know it's not necessary to treat them this bad.
What got The Fuzz the most, was how the corporations were hounding and suing the little people to get a monopoly. That, and the apparent collusion by the government in all this.

I watched the film a while back and again last week in my biology class. I was not surprised about the way they treated the animals, but was a little upset about the monopoly as well. I try to pay attention to what I eat and where it comes from. Hopefully i will be able to have my own veggie garden soon. I'm still working on it. I do wish the illigal immigrant issue in the video was discussed more in the open. I believe many Americans either don't know or turn a blind eye to the companies hiring these workers.
