Thoughts on Moving

Wind Chime

This is a wind chime at the old house. It's just one of the many things that remain to make the move to the new place. This will take a lot of time, but will eventually happen. For now, we are sorta in between, one day here, one day there. There's still a lot of "improvements" needed at the new place, much painting and some floor work to be done. But it is livable. I'm not sure when one could say we've "moved in". It seems to be a gradual process this time. In the past, when we've had to move, it has all happened at once. This time there is no "deadline", it's just a gradual sort of thing. Each day we move a bit more. We started out there using our "2nd string" camping equipment for cooking and such, now it's getting to be the other way around. I guess a big milestone will be when we get our "land line" and Internet at the trailer. And even that is in the works.

It will be strange leaving this house- we've been here over 30 years. That's a long time these days.
But then, we have to take the adventure that comes to us.
