My next guess is in the form of a joke: a mushroom walks into a bar. The bartender says, "hey! We don't serve mushrooms here!" And the mushroom says, why not? I'm a fun guy! Drum roll please.
Hmmmmm...some kind of fungus growing on a tree or the ground?!
I say carpet too or rug.
