Fortunate Misfortune

Perhaps you recognize this little feller. Well, if not, he is the reason The Fuzz was so late in getting that new door up. He had Big and Evil Plans for the other day, but there was a delay.
It seems that Bambi here met with an accident involving a 30-30. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time, or maybe the right place at the right time, depending on one's point of view. Well, at least he is in the right place now, in The Fuzz's point of view.
It should be noted that The Fuzz was not directly responsible for young Bambi's misfortune. In fact the only deer he's ever killed he killed with his motorcycle. But he does have connections. And said connections are responsible for The Fuzz's happy freezer.

I have a lever action Winchester 30-30. It is an authentic replica of the original, only with modern metals. It even ejects the shells out of the top of the receiver - the Marlin lever actions eject from the side.

It is a good little rifle.

Which is why the Marlin is better for a scope.

Yea....but real marksmen don't need a scope :)

My Ruger Mini-30 has a scope. All others are iron sights only.

I have a mauser chambered for 308. It has iron sights. But the eyes are getting a little older.

I have some Mausers. All are still in the original 8mm caliber however.

8mm is a good round. A little bit more than a 30-06.

I also have two rifles in .303 British.
