This Stinks

On the World Scene, over there in Naples they're finding out just how important we Garbagemen are. Truthfully, the problem is not exactly with the Garbagemen themselves, but what to DO with the Stuff, and Crime, and Politics.

What's even worse, a lot of the Stuff they're dealing with is, like, Toxic Waste and people are getting sick. Our current "Landfill", started out as a deep hole. Now it's becoming a Hill. On the plus side, now there is getting to be a nice view from up there. But there are plenty of other places to go for the "View". I think the thing is, we all just need to make a lot less trash. And what we don't actually use, we need to recycle. That may seem inconvenient, but look at these pictures.

Your right, that does stink!

Remind me to not go there if I ever go to Italy.

I just saw a little movie about that (about how much waste there is) called "the story of stuff". (www.storyofstuff.com/)

One of the shocking statistics they threw around was that only one percent of the stuff americans buy every year is actually kept. That means we throw out 99 percent of what we purchase in a year. Sounds pretty jacked up, but if it's even half true, thats pretty scary.

Guess it's job security for you, though.

Hey nice blog. This is right up my alley, as I author Dumpdiggers.

I'm a 21st century garbage men and our quest for 19th century trash.

We should work together some time.
