At the River

After such an episode with tree cutting, when The Fuzz's Sweetie proposed a picnic at the river, we were all glad to go. Even though the weather was nice, there are not many folks there this time of year. In the heat of the summer, the place is mobbed making it difficult to find a place with a grill. For some reason they don't want you to bring your own anymore. So we loaded the Cart with our Cooler and some Charcoal, and headed up the river looking for a good place.
There was no "Official" Grill at our fist choice, but we did get a good one since we had the place to ourselves. First we all had a cooling swim in the river. The water was remarkably clear, and the temperature was just right. After a bit, The Fuzz lit up the fire and cooked a few burgers. His Sweetie had fixed some Potato Salad so we were in business. But as the days are growing shorter, it wasn't long before the sun began to sink into the west, and it was soon time to head for home. Soon it will be getting cold again and it was nice to have a last swim of the season and enjoy the Beautiful River.
