Bugged

Found these guys all over the well the other day.
I don't really know what they are though. I mean I know they're Bugs but I don't know their name. They are kinda pretty, for bugs, I mean.
They don't seem to Bite, which is good of course. Getting bit is no fun.
But there are a lot of them, at least on the well.
Here's some on the Bucket.
See what I mean about a Bunch of 'em.

Boxelder bug. They are mostly harmless, although they will enter your home and become a pest. They can also stain things like walls with their bug poop.

As you can see they like to hang out in large groups.

The smaller all red ones are the youngest. The red and black ones are nymphs. The adult version are the mostly black ones.

They are looking for a place to hang out for the winter. In the summer they would be scattered in the woods. But when it starts to get just a little bit cool they go looking for a winter hiding spot.

Anyhow there you go! Boxelder bug.

Oh yea, another name for them is "milkweed bug". I think this may be a more common name for them as they eat milkweed and other related plants. Since the milkweed is toxic to a lot of things, the bugs to not really need to be able to move fast or bite or anything.
