Bursting Buds

Spring is here and summer is near. The trees are leafing out. More and more each day. You can almost watch them growing. These are the buds of our fig tree opening now. They're not quite big enough yet for their traditional roll in the classic coverup, but will be in time. Eventually there should be some figs, but not for a while yet. I saw some apple blossoms today and had to cut the grass a bit. But that felt good after being cooped up in that truck all day. It's good to have the doors and windows open again.

The lawn mower is my nemesis. ANYTIME you want to take a winter break and come south of the deep south - Ill let you cut my lawn. I trust you.

We can not grow apple trees here :(

My sweetie often cuts the grass, she enjoys it when the mower works right. Unfortunately the thing seems prone to tearing up a lot.
